MESSAGE OF THE WEEK

The Kingdom Feast
It is all about the Kingdom and the King of kings who rules over all kings. There is feasting in the Kingdom: rejoicing, and the fellowship that flows in the Kingdom of God....
The Revival Attitude.
What God did in 2 Kings 13:20-21 applies to us today. In the area where Elisha was buried, another man died. They were on their way to bury that man in a particular spot....
Do Not Miss Your Time
We must be sensitive to times. “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding....
Shaping Your World
There is so much power available in your mouth to change your circumstances. Your life today is a product of what you have spoken in the past....
Manifesting the Gift of the Spirit
Jesus expects us to do greater works than He did and The Holy Spirit came to enable us to do the works. The Holy Spirit releases the anointing in the form of powerful gifts....
A Giving Gift
For God so loved the world that He gave Jesus Christ. Jesus picked you just as He picked the Disciples, and The Holy Spirit enables you to accomplish your purpose. You are a giving gift....
Pressing Forth in the Power of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the Promise of God and The Gift of God, and He endows us with gifts. Without the Presence of God in your life, you are set for a rough road...

Barrier Breaking Faith

Jeremiah 32.

Many times we get confused about God and what He has the ability to do. Because of situations and circumstances; when we are disappointed by those we trust; by those we lean on; it creeps into our systems that God may not be better than man. We know that there is evil in the world, but what about great men and women of God who disappoint us? A couple with a great ministry, in spite of their knowledge of the will of God got a divorce. We begin to ask, “If they could do that, why can’t I divorce my spouse?”

Disappointments can cause us to equate God with man. In doing so, we submit ourselves to the negativity in the world. Jeremiah was a great man of God. The Babylonians had brought a siege (v. 1) and Jeremiah told King Zedekiah to repent for there is no way we can overcome this enemy. The expectation was that the king would lead the whole nation in repentance. Is that not what Jonah did in Nineveh? The Lord had prophesied destruction, but all of Nineveh forsook their ways and disaster was avoided. Why? Because God considered their repentance. But Jeremiah was jailed.

Locked up. (v. 2). Jeremiah was dejected and confounded—not about himself, but he had a heart for the land, that the will and counsel of God would be made manifest. Jeremiah had served God for years, but it was imminent trouble was coming their way. We are going to die. We can also be incapacitated, locked up in the midst of turmoil. He then began to cry out to God.

God showed up. God showed Jeremiah that his cousin was coming to sell some land and that Jeremiah should buy it (v. 6). This was the symbol of a promise: “I will yet visit the land. People will again buy and sell in the land.” In verses 16-17, Jeremiah gave evidence of the purchase, and prayed, “Ah Lord God! Behold thou has made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.”

Where is your heart? Sometimes when you are desperate, you try to bribe God and cry out, “You are able to do all things. Work on my behalf.” But is that from your mind or your heart? You proclaim the power and majesty of God. You proclaim that He is kind and merciful and a rewarder of those who serve Him according to the works of their hand. (See v. 18-23.) Many of us would be doomed if we were rewarded according to our works. Forget your own righteousness, for it is by grace. You deserve judgment, but Jesus took your place. If you are not born again, please accept what He did on your behalf. He was nailed to the cross for your reward. Because Jesus took your place, therefore by the mercy and grace of God, you will not miss your reward.

The siege mounts. V. 24. The sword and famine and pestilence had come. Jeremiah went back to God saying, “I did what you said. I took an action of faith. ” (v.25). Then God responded, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” (v.27). He introduced Himself, the One who made and formed and established all things.

Do you really believe? Deep in your heart, do you believe that nothing is too difficult for God? The people would be taken away because of their disobedience, yet He would restore the land. The judgment that was due unto us was taken by Jesus: their lot is not your lot, but God expected Jeremiah to show the action that would show his faith. We must also demonstrate our faith by our action. When the devil says you are sick and dying, say “I am alive and well.” Demonstrate barrier busting faith. There are calamities all around you, but buy in the time of recession. The value of those foreclosed homes will rise again.

Quit weeping. Your works shall be rewarded, not by your own righteousness, but by the works of your Savior. You work and walk in obedience because you believe Him. There is restoration and hope for your future. Don’t quit yet. Hang in there. You will have your desires. Wipe your tears. The price is already paid. There is good news galore from henceforth.

Barrier-breaking faith. In Mark 2, some men refused to bulge in the face obstacles. They uncovered the roof to lay their sick friend before Jesus. They broke through before they had their breakthrough. When everything of the world is holding you back, that is when you need to break loose. Do you want God to change your spouse? Then love your wife; respect your husband. The commands of God are not contingent upon the actions of your spouse. If you believe you receive what you say, eventually you will get what you say. Too many people say, “I will not love unless… I will not respect unless…” By that, the blessings are reversed. If you believe, then act in obedience.

Bring them to the Master. Believe God and He will work wonders in and through your life. Go out for others and bring them to the Master. Nothing is too difficult for Him. Do not make excuses, and do not give up. Don’t tell them, “Come to my church,” tell them, “Come to the Lord.” Have the faith that refuses to give up as you commit to bringing them to the Lord.

Faith is tangible. In Mark 2:5, Jesus saw their faith by their action and said to the sick, “Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.” Certain scribes accused Jesus of blasphemy, but Jesus said, “That ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins” and healed the man with the palsy (v 10-12). The Son of man has power on earth. This flesh has the ability to be as God on earth. Forgive and it will be forgiven. Understand your power on earth. In Jesus’ name you can cast out demons and the sick shall be healed. Exercise your faith and let God destroy the works of the devil through you. Align yourself with the Lord for to Him Nothing hard or impossible. Amen
